David Haggerty dives into the research, and the lack of research, in the medical community with Bipolar Pregnant Women. We take the People Magazine article and go beyond the headline, discussing what a "Relapse" is, how I came to the decision of not staying on medication, and why it is so important for both us of to raise the question as to why we deserve to know more from the medical community. David not only is a neuroscientist who has done the research, he also lives with Bipolar disorder. It has meant the world to me to have him by my side in every step of my bipolar and pregnant journey. Susy and I bond over being pregnant at the same time, but lucky for us, Susy was able to come on the podcast to share her story just days before she gave birth! I learn so much about how she dealt with being diagnosed with Alopecia at such a young age to how it empowers her today! Her spiritual pregnancy is something I'm so in awe of and I was so lucky to encounter first hand. She teaches so much about her crystal healing practices, some of which I have started to practice myself as I continue on with my pregnancy story.Susy Markoe Schieffelin of The Copper Vessel is a Los Angeles-based sound healer, reiki master, Kundalini yoga teacher, and inspirational speaker who has led sound baths viewed or attended by millions of people all over the world. Susy has brought healing to employees at companies such as Google, Pandora, and Nordstrom, has played crystal bowls with notable artists including Leann Rimes and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and has been featured in publications such as WSJ, VOGUE, USA TODAY, and Los Angeles Times. Susy is known for her light-filled presence and ability to guide people towards radiant and empowered lives characterized by self-love, serenity, abundance, and joy. She is the founder of the Sound Healer's Academy, an innovative Crystal Alchemy Sound Healing and Spiritual Business Mentorship training, serves as a self-love advocate for brands, has created custom product lines, and offers deeply restorative crystal alchemy sound bath ceremonies and healing rituals both in person and online.@thecoppervessel Learn more about your ad choices. Over the weekend, the beloved and brilliant Dr Jay Goldberg left this planet. He touched so many pregnant women's lives and brought so many babies into this world. I was so lucky to have known him, even for a short while, as my baby's OBGYN. I wanted to share a few stories as to why this human touched so many. I will forever be grateful that he was the first person to introduce me to my baby. Thank you for being a friend Dr Jay Goldberg. In his honor, please consider donating to The Jay Goldberg OBGYN Resident Education Fund: they provide funds to name the resident education chief each year and support resident education programs. He spent his free time hosting educational events for the residents in which he loved working with, educating, and helping grow. The new fund will further his mission in the years to come. Thank you Dr Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz and Cedars-Sinai for providing this information.Department of OBGYN at Cedars-Sinai8635 West Third StreetMOT Suit 160WLos Angeles, CA90048 Learn more about your ad choices.
